Going back to the earliest days of Rick’s Picks at the farmer’s markets, we’ve always marveled at the impact ramps have when they become available in late Spring each year. Our Pickled Ramps are foraged by our old pal Rick Bishop and his crew in the Hudson Valley, and we pickled them in a brine of pink peppercorns and hibiscus. The limited edition pickle is an exclusive collaboration with Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and they are only available at his sumptuous new food palace, the TIN Building at the South Street Seaport in Manhattan, and here at rickspicks.com. These Pickled Ramps will only be available for a short while until they sell out… then we’ll all have to wait until next Spring!
Serving suggestions:
Enjoy our Pickled Ramps in a martini, or as a piquant topping for a simple salad. And when the ramps are finished, use the brine as a mignonette for oysters or as a cocktail infusion.
